Ruskin House Festival

Jul 2018
12 - 10pm

Ruskin House Folk & Blues Festival is a great day and evening out for all the family. It will take place on Saturday 7th July 2018 from 12noon to 10pm in the walled garden at Ruskin House, 23 Coombe Road Croydon CR0 1BD.  Ruskin House is an imposing Georgian building built in 1713.  Admission to the festival is £5 per person on the door and free for accompanied children under 16.

There are licensed bars with real ales, soft drinks, a barbecue, tea & cakes, vegan/vegetarian food, bouncy castle, face painting and side stalls including tombola, plants, bric-a-brac, books etc.

As usual there will be a wide range of music from regular artists and bands are currently being approached to take part in the festival.

We will be extending an invitation to Slavyanya, a Russian children’s choir in national costume and the Schiehallion Scottish Pipe Band, to mention just a few. If you know of other interested acts, please let us have details. Email Kevin on:

The festival is to raise money for the Ruskin House Restoration fund as the three hundred year old building is in need of urgent repairs. A festival organising committee meets regularly so if you are able to offer any assistance with the festival, do let Kevin know directly.

All bands and musicians are giving their services free so please book the date in your diary, pass it on to your own friends, family and contacts. We want you to commit to supporting this annual but very important event and take part in a wonderful day on the 7th July.

And another thing, we are seeking to extend the Ruskin House Club membership numbers this year and request your help to achieve it.
Application forms are available from the Foyer/Club Bar or contact Roy Aird on 07941 890756 for more information.
